On April 29, DAIGO (38) and Kitagawa Keiko (29) held their wedding ceremony and reception at Grand Prince Hotel Shin-Takanawa. The following day, the couple updated their blogs and expressed their gratitude for everyone's support.

DAIGO shared, "Since mid-January, we prepared for this one millimeter at a time, meeting many times, and all with the overwhelming support of many people." However, when the earthquake hit Kumamoto on April 14, the couple considered postponing, "We talked about whether we should go on with the reception or not. Everyday, we thought about it, and everyday we talked about it until morning.

After discussing it with several people, they made the decision to hold it as planned. "Everyone gave me a push to hold our wedding. Eventually, we talked about it throughly until we came to an agreement, and made the decision to hold it," he said.

On the event, DAIGO reflected, "It was a series of miracles. We are once again determined to do our best while being thankful for everything." Finally, he stated, "From the bottom of my heart, I hope to devote myself to carrying out activities in order to spread more and more energy all across Japan.

Similarly, Kitagawa wrote, "Yesterday, we held our ceremony and reception. There were times I hesitated about whether or not we should hold it in this situation. Everyday I was conflicted, but as one day has passed, little by little, I am realizing that all went smoothly." She continued, "With gratitude in my heart, I will work hard, both as a person and actress, to deliver fun works and smiles," and concluded, "My body feels really heavy, but I have work starting tomorrow. Looking forward, I hope to do whatever I can to the best of my ability."

During the reception, DAIGO performed his new song "KSK", which stands for "Kekkon Shite Kudasai" (Please marry me). He proposed to Kitagawa for the second time in front of about 500 guests from showbiz and politics.
