Berryz Kobo member Sugaya Risako has announced her marriage and pregnancy via her agency's official website as well as her blog.

When Berryz Kobo went on hiatus back in 2015, Sugaya also took a break from her individual activities. Recently, she has been frequently updating her blog and Instagram, showing fans that she is doing well.

In a blog entry titled "Announcement," Sugaya wrote, "I entered this business when I was just eight years old. I am here now because of everyone's support. Thank you very much. It's my first time, so I am anxious about a lot of things, but I will do my best at my own pace." After she gives birth, Sugaya plans to devote her time to raising her child and will decide to resume her activities when she has settled down.
