On YOSHIKI's birthday, the renowned rock legend and leader of X JAPAN and THE LAST ROCKSTARS, hosted a live broadcast on Niconico Channel (Japan) and YouTube Channel membership worldwide. This emotional broadcast on the 20th provided fans with a window into YOSHIKI's inner world and featured a touching dedication of the song "Rusty Nail" to the late bassist HEATH, who sadly passed away on October 29th due to colon cancer.

After X JAPAN officially announced HEATH's passing on November 11th, details emerged about a farewell party scheduled at Spotify O-EAST in Tokyo on the 28th. YOSHIKI's livestream marked his first personal expression since the announcement, capturing the attention of fans around the world.

Despite the heavy-hearted circumstances, YOSHIKI, inspired by HEATH's unique aesthetic and encouraged by the bereaved family's message to celebrate cheerfully, chose to honor his birthday with a spirit of joy.

In an impromptu moment during the broadcast, YOSHIKI approached the piano, asking, "Shall I play the piano? What should I play?" Touched by the moment, he decided to perform "Rusty Nail," a song he last played with HEATH at a dinner show on August 20th. Opening up about his feelings, YOSHIKI confessed, "Honestly, there are some strong emotions, and at times, I feel like I'm falling apart. But reading everyone's messages fills me with gratitude."

Reflecting on the past year, YOSHIKI shared his struggles with busyness and a shift in perspective following his mother's passing. He acknowledged the challenges of being trapped in a dark loop when focused on himself but found solace in thinking about others and engaging in creative endeavors.

In a touching tribute to HEATH's lively spirit, YOSHIKI expressed determination, saying, "When it comes to HEATH, you're always cheerful... I'll do my best," concluding the livestream with a heartfelt selfie. The broadcast served as both a loving tribute to HEATH and a personal glimpse into YOSHIKI's emotional journey.
