It's been revealed thatUtada Hikaru has penned the theme song for Fuji TV's upcoming Getsu-9 drama 'Kimi ga Kokoro wo Kuretakara' ('The Gift of Your Heart')which premieres next month. 

This is the first time in 23 years that the singer will provide a newly written theme song for a drama airing on Fuji TV's popular Getsu-9 time slot, since the drama 'HERO' aired in 2001. This is also the first time in about 16 years that they will perform the theme song for a Fuji TV drama, since 'Innocent Love' in 2008.

'Kimi ga Kokoro wo Kuretakara' is a fantasy love story starring Nagano Mei and Yamada Yuki. Set in Nagasaki, the drama will depict the "cruel miracle" between the protagonist Aihara Ame and Asano Taiyou, a man whom she had once established an emotional bond with.
