Two months have passed since the Noto Peninsula earthquake struck on New Year's Day, with March 1st marking the solemn anniversary. Amidst these somber circumstances, March heralds the beginning of a new chapter for many graduates in the disaster-stricken areas.
The graduation ceremony at Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima High School commenced with a moment of silence. Due to the gymnasium's utilization as an evacuation center, the ceremony took place at Ishikawa Prefectural Music Hall in Kanazawa, approximately 100 kilometers away.
A total of 107 students bid farewell to their alma mater during the ceremony. Following its conclusion, a heartwarming surprise awaited them as Noriyuki Higashiyama, Hiroshi Nagano, and Kento Nakajima made unexpected appearances.
The attending celebrities personally handed out gifts to each graduate, engaging in cheerful photo sessions and spreading smiles throughout the hall.
Notably, Kento Nakajima, a member of Sexy Zone, is set to graduate from the group on March 31st, adding significance to his presence at the ceremony.
The touching gesture brought a ray of hope and joy to the graduates, offering them a moment of respite and encouragement as they embark on their new journeys beyond the halls of academia.
