Japan Air Line (JAL) has announced that they will start flying an airplane named Arashi JET, starting September 5th. Arashi members’ pictures and the title of their newest album, “Boku no miteiru fukei” will be on this Boeing 777. They will also sell the album on the airplane.

Arashi’s popular variety show, “Himitsu no Arashi-chan”, held their “Mannequin Five” summer special, which was broadcasted on August 26th.
For this summer special, they displayed five mannequins at Akasaka Sakasu that were coordinated by each Arashi member, and visitors voted for their favorite mannequin without knowing which mannequin was whose.
The total number of votes was 41,461, and the most favored mannequin was…

Arashi is releasing another new single, “Dear Snow”, on October 6th! “Dear Snow” is the theme song for upcoming movie, “Oooku” (will be released on October 1st), which stars one of their members, Ninomiya Kazunari.
“Dear Snow” will mark Arashi’s fifth single release of the year.

The results for the August 30th Oricon weekly charts have been announced. On the album chart, Arashi’s album dropped to #2, but they still have sold a total of 905,000 copies in all, and their album seems sure to hit a million sales in 2010.

The 100th episode of Arashi’s popular variety show, “Himitsu no Arashi-chan“, was broadcasted on the 19th. The Arashi members celebrated the anniversary on their show, and then gave an interview for fans.
“Himutsu no Arashi-chan” started on April 2008, and it is the oldest running variety show by Arashi out of all the Arashi programs broadcasting right now.
