On August 28th, popular idol group AKB48 made their first appearance at a-nation, during the event's final concert in Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium.

Looking overjoyed, member Takahashi Minami stated, "Thank you for inviting us! "We're really happy to be able to appear [at a-nation]." Afterwards, AKB48 performed a total of six songs, including their new, million-selling single "Flying Get".

The venue was packed to the brim with red light sticks, and burst into the loudest cheers all day as Tohoshinki appeared on stage. "You've been waiting! We've come back to 'a-nation'," said Yunho, referring to the fact that Tohoshinki last appeared at a-nation over two years ago. Changmin then continued, "We're so happy we could appear alongside so many amazing artists. And we're happy to spend [time] with everyone here before our eyes."

Following their short address to the audience, Tohoshinki performed five songs, including their recent tunes "Superstar" and "Why? (Keep Your Head Down)".

Pop star Hamasaki Ayumi - who has appeared at a-nation for ten consecutive years - also gave the crowd something new for the tenth anniversary of a-nation. "This year we changed our plans, and will show you a stage characteristic of 'a-nation'," she announced before her duet performance of "ANother song", "July 1st", and three other hits� with AAA member Urata Naoya. By the end of their stunning stage, Hamasaki's eyes were glittering with tears of joy.

Other artists performing at the finale of a-nation include TRF, Mizuki Alisa, BoA, hitomi, Koda Kumi, AAA, ICONIQ, May J., Every Little Thing, me (misono), Suzuki Ami, and mihimaru GT. GACKT's band YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz also appeared as the secret guest of the day.

For those who were unable to attend, a two-hour program about a-nation's Tokyo performances will be broadcast through WOWOW on September 24th, 8:00 PM JST.
