
A 25th anniversary key visual and logo for the 'The Prince of Tennis' anime franchise have been unveiled.
Based on Takeshi Konomi's manga, the original anime adaptation began airing in October 2001. Its sequel series, 'The New Prince of Tennis,' premiered in 2012 and has continued the story through the national and world tournament arcs.
The franchise will celebrate its 25th anniversary in October 2026, with a variety of projects planned throughout the anniversary period, which will run through the end of 2027.
As the first project, a special program titled 'The Prince of Tennis Anime Series 25th Anniversary Special' will stream on July 19 via the official 'The New Prince of Tennis' YouTube channel.
The program will feature appearances by voice actors Junko Minagawa (Ryoma Echizen), Ryotaro Okiayu (Kunimitsu Tezuka), Yuki Kaida (Shusuke Fuji), Junichi Suwabe (Keigo Atobe), Sachiko Nagai (Seiichi Yukimura), and Tarusuke Shingaki (Eishiro Kite). It will be hosted by Naru Kawamoto (Takashi Kawamura) and Masaya Onosaka (Takeshi Momoshiro).
