Kikuchi Yuki's web manga series '100 Nichi Go ni Shinu Wani' ('A Crocodile Who Will Die in 100 Days') will be getting a film adaptation. The movie will be titled '100 Nichikan Ikita Wani' ('A Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days') and is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on May 28.
'100 Nichi Go ni Shinu Wani' is a four-panel manga about the life of a crocodile before his death. It was posted onto Kikuchi's Twitter account everyday from December 12, 2019 to March 20, 2020. The upcoming film will depict the crocodile's 100 days before his death, as well as his friends' 100 days after they lost their precious friend.
The Crocodile will be voiced by Kamiki Ryunosuke, the Mouse by Nakamura Tomoya, the Mole by Kimura Subaru, and Senpai by Araki Yuko. Director Ueda Shinichiro and his wife, animation director Fukuda Miyuki, will co-direct and co-write the film.
Kokawa Tomonori will be in charge of the storyboard and animation direction. Kameda Seiji will be in charge of the music, and the theme song will be provided by Ikimonogakari.
