Actor Hayashi Kento (30) and former AKB48's Oshima Yuko (32) have announced that they will be getting married soon!

Oshima wrote on her official website, "I apologize that this is a personal matter, but at this time, I would like to announce that I will be getting married to Hayashi Kento-san. Since beginning this work 25 years ago, I have been supported by many people, and I've spent most of my life working with everyone's encouragement. I am sincerely grateful that you have continued to watch over me until this day. Thank you." 

She continued, "I can still clearly remember the voices and images of you cheering me on. Just as I am happy to make this announcement, I hope you will be happy for me. Thanks to everyone, the world expands even more, and I feel that it will become a part of my energy in the future. I will continue to do my best to deliver enriching moments, so I ask for your continued support." 

Hayashi also made the announcement on his official website saying, "I entered this world of acting when I was 15 years old. Before I realized it, I spent half of my life as an actor. Those who have been cheering me on since my debut and those who have shown interest in me due to some work [that I've been involved in]. Your existence has always been my support, and your warm words have kept me going one step after another. I am very grateful." 

He added, "With more responsibility and resolve than before, I will face my work seriously and devote myself everyday. It would make me happy if you would watch over me warmly." 

News of the couple's engagement was first reported by several sports papers on the morning of the 29th. The two first co-starred in the movie 'Yamikin Ushijima-kun' in 2012. During that time, Hayashi had revealed that his oshimen (favorite member) in AKB48 was Oshima. They had been friends since then, but became close after co-starring in NHK's morning drama 'Scarlet' (September 2019 to March 2020) and Fuji TV's drama 'Kyojo' (January 2020).

The two reportedly started dating last summer after filming had wrapped up for 'Scarlet.' They didn't want to cause any trouble to anybody, so had been keeping their relationship under the radar.
