Nearly a year and a half ago, TokyoHive was given the exclusive opportunity to cover the opening of a viewer-submitted subtitle option for fans of the Johnnys’ Jr. Channel.

The move, made in response to YouTube taking away its original open-source community feature beloved by international fans of most high-profile channels, afforded hardcore Janiwota around the world the chance to help further a global awareness on behalf of their favorite Johnnys’ Jr. stars; and not just in English, but languages overlooked by most standard subtitle suites. To-date, the program has accepted over 1,700 subtitle files in 20 languages, all made with love, care, and understanding the likes of which only a true fan can grasp.
