Tadayoshi Okura of SUPER EIGHT launches new company 'J-pop Legacy'

TH STAFF

Tadayoshi Okura from SUPER EIGHT announced the establishment of a new company, "J-pop Legacy," aimed at talent production, development, and new content creation.

Driven by Okura’s desire to freely express his own take on entertainment and his ambition to take on new challenges as he approaches 40, the new company will focus on creating memorable content with up-and-coming talents, while cherishing Japan's beloved entertainment culture. Despite this new venture, Okura will remain with his current agency, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, as both an individual and a member of SUPER EIGHT.

Reflecting on his journey, Okura shared, “I have always been grateful to my fans for their support and to the company that nurtured me. Over the past year, changes within the company have shifted my feelings, leading me to establish this new company with the understanding and support of STARTO ENTERTAINMENT. As an artist, I will continue to be a part of SUPER EIGHT under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, and I hope for your continued support.

Okura joined the agency in 1997 and debuted with the group Kanjani Eight in 2004. The group rebranded as SUPER EIGHT earlier this year.
