Travis Japan is making their debut with a ballad in the upcoming film Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi (Yano's Ordinary Days). The film, which stars Yusei Yagi of FANTASTICS in his leading role, is set for a November 15 release. The new ballad, titled “Staying with You,” marks a departure from Travis Japan’s usual upbeat style, offering a soothing and emotional track that complements the film’s romantic narrative.
The film, based on Yui Tamura’s popular romantic comedy manga, follows Tsuyoshi Yano (played by Yagi), a high school student known for his extreme bad luck, and Kiyoko Yoshida (played by Anji Ikehata), who is overly cautious and concerned for him. The trailer highlights Yoshida’s growing concern for Yano and his heartfelt confession to her.
Kaito Nakamura of Travis Japan, who plays Hashiba in the film, shared his enthusiasm about the ballad, stating: “This time, Travis Japan will be in charge of the insert song. I’m incredibly happy about this. It’s a ballad that really draws you into the world of Yano-kun no Futsu no Hibi and it’s a song that makes you want to be close to someone you love. It’s a song that will really add a touch of class to the movie, so please give it a listen.”
The ballad "Staying with You" is described as gentle and enveloping, aiming to evoke a sense of closeness and emotional connection. It contrasts with Travis Japan’s usual upbeat style, offering a new musical dimension to the film.
In addition to the ballad, the film features a vibrant cast, including Mizuho Shiromiya as Izumi, who harbors feelings for Hashiba (played by Nakamura), and Keigo Ito as Tanaka, a playful classmate. Maria Niinuma makes her film debut as Mei, Yoshida’s disinterested friend, while Ayame Tsutsui of Nogizaka46 plays the mysterious Okamoto.
