Kanna Hashimoto will star in the live-action drama adaptation of the manga Atasha Kawashiri Kodama Dayo, written and directed by Yuichi Fukuda.

Based on the autobiographical essay manga by Kodama Kawashiri, the story follows a lazy, carefree manga artist who works from home and loves salty food, greasy meals, and alcohol. The comedy portrays her everyday struggles and the unconventional ways she indulges herself to make life a little easier.

Hashimoto, who plays Kawashiri, hopes the series will give viewers a lighthearted start to their day. Fukuda also described the drama as a relatable comedy that audiences of all ages can enjoy.

The drama will premiere on January 11, 2027, as part of Nippon TV's morning program ZIP!, airing at approximately 8:50 a.m. JST.

It will also stream exclusively on Hulu, beginning at 6:00 a.m. JST the same day, with five weekday episodes available ahead of their television broadcasts. Two additional special episodes will be released exclusively on Hulu every Friday.
