RADWIMPS has written a new song titled "Tamamono" as the theme song for the upcoming NHK morning drama "Anpan," which will begin airing on March 31.

"Anpan" is a story inspired by the lives of Nobu Asada and Takashi Yanase, focusing on their journey from being ordinary individuals to overcoming various struggles and embodying “unwavering justice” through the creation of the beloved character "Anpanman." The protagonist, Nobu, will be played by Mio Imada, and Takashi will be portrayed by Takumi Kitamura (DISH//).

The offer was made to Yojiro Noda of RADWIMPS last spring, and he took his time creating the song while reading the script. He aimed to craft a piece that would “give you the strength to crawl out of bed in the morning,” convey “the fresh vitality of Nobu,” and embody “the spirit of challenge and adventure.” The result is the song "Tamamono."

Lead actress Mio Imada commented on the song, saying, "When I first heard it, I felt it was a bit different from the typical ‘morning drama’ theme song I had in mind. But the more I listened, the more I felt it was a perfect fit for the world of 'Anpan.'"
