Singer-songwriter Mariko Goto and professional interviewer Go Yoshida have announced their divorce.

Goto and Yoshida tied the knot in July of last year. Regarding the divorce, a notice from their attorney representatives have been posted on their respective X accounts. 

In the notice, Goto apologizes for posting about Yoshida's private matters that happened prior to their marriage, and the fact that misunderstanding regarding Yoshida has continued to spread. The posts, which have been deleted, contained misinterpretations of facts based on Goto's feelings and subjectivity. As such, they are calling on people to refrain from slander and libel against Yoshida based on past these posts.

The notice also explains that Yoshida did not have the resolve to be Goto's husband, which as a result has hurt her many times.
