Japanese rock band Paledusk released their new single "GOLDEN GOAL" on September 23, drawing inspiration from the energy and excitement of football in the UK.

The song was born from the band's experience attending a football match in the UK, with its heavy sound and fast-paced momentum reflecting the intensity of the stadium. Lyrically, "GOLDEN GOAL" centers on pursuing a goal, taking on challenges, and continuing to move forward.

The Fukuoka-based four-piece has steadily expanded its activities overseas in recent years. Paledusk signed with Australia's Grayscale Records in 2020, European and UK booking agency Avocado Bookings in 2021, and U.S. label SharpTone Records in 2023, while continuing to perform internationally.

The band has also taken part in a growing number of collaborations. Paledusk recently joined Awich, CHICO CARLITO, and ONE OK ROCK for the "YAO" project. Guitarist DAIDAI has also worked as a composer and arranger for artists in Japan and overseas, with credits including Bring Me The Horizon's "POST HUMAN: NeX GEn" and Lil Uzi Vert's "The End feat. BABYMETAL."

Paledusk also collaborated with ONE OK ROCK on three tracks from their album DETOX: "Puppets Can't Control You,' "C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y. feat. Paledusk and CHICO CARLITO," and "+Matter."

With "GOLDEN GOAL," Paledusk channels the atmosphere of the football stadium into a track about continuing to pursue what lies ahead.
