AKB48 management claim Eguchi Aimi is real, but AKB48 members reveal she’s fake?

With the news heating up about AKB48 “member” Eguchi Aimi being real or fake (CG – Computer Graphics), we finally have some… accidental answers!

When Ezaki Glico was asked whether or not she was real they could only answer, “Sorry we can’t comment”. However, when AKB48’s management company AKS was asked the same question they clearly answered, “She’s real! She didn’t take the 12th generation auditions, so we had to quickly accept her (into generation 12.5)”.

However, the girls of AKB48 seemed to have unintentionally revealed that she is, indeed, a fake. Kikuchi Ayaka busted Eguchi out first in her blog entry, which has since been edited / deleted, but not before fans allegedly took some screencaps. She wrote, “Eguchi Aimi-san is cute <3 She’s just too pretty! lol lol lol She’s in the 12.5 generation~ I also did a shoot! I wonder when a part of my face will be used (hehe)” However, some fans believe that the blog screencap may be a fake as well.

That doesn’t stop the next piece of “evidence”. Back in February, Oshima Yuko posted a curious picture in her blog with tons of dots on her face. Back then she wrote, “The shoot has finished. It took a long time, but I was by myself so I was able to stay nonchalant. And in the end I turned out looking like this (・∀・)●○●”. Fans are speculating that these are the 3D dots used to create Eguchi Aimi.

Things are still up in the air, but what do you think? Is this evidence “proof” that Eguchi is nothing but a CG or do you need more?

    Seems kind of funny to me that the company couldn’t clearly answer, if she was real it would be easy to say yes wouldn’t it..? But I have to hand it to AKS, only AKB48 can have such interesting things lol.

    It’s a fake, in the  CM, you can see her faction not moving naturally, and her face it’s just looking ahead, I’m 100% sure she not real.

    Im pretty sure she is fake….every picture of her looks like a digital image, either that, or she isn’t very photogenic, which would then cancel out the purpose of her being digital….she should looks good all the time. Anyways, Yuko wearing the dress and then Aimi being in that same dress for the picture was all the proof i needed that and the fact that her behind the scene shot, doesn’t look real and the background looks so suspect, unlike in everyone else where not only do they look natural, the background looks natural as well.

    I read Ayarin blog already with translation but if this news said that her blog was fake then why she had to delete it? But for me i don’t give a hell if they gonna make another CGI48 for hit the 2D spot… Just like Miku… And this is just my opinion….. Cuz i still cheer up with AKB48 family!!! lol

    Hmmm… No idea.

    I only know that face scanning today doesn’t require any black dots on the face. Those dots are a relic of the past. They are not needed anymore. Scanners are far better than that. In Japan, and other countries, they’ve scanned actors into computer games years ago without these dots and far more primitive scanners than those available today.

    The dots are still used for motion capture, but you usually use a special suit for that, with large dots on the joints.

    I believe the image of her is fake, obviously. She is way too stiff and looks much too like the other members.

    As for if the girl herself is fake…. I think so too, but it could be that a girl from the NMB auditions DID get into AKB, but for some reason they are masking her face and giving her a different name.

    Also, she looks kind of like a girl who was in the NMB auditions… hmmm…

    This whole Eguchi Aimi thing is simply driving fans nuts wondering if she’s real or not. But I’m still placing my bet on the fact that she’s completely CG. AKS can claim that she’s real & trying to make it seem that way by placing her in the official website & hanging her photo in the theatre but it’s too odd. Out of nowhere a girl actually surpasses the Acchan/Jurina/Yui/Y.Sayaka pushing & lands on the cover of Playboy weekly? Center girl for a CM among top media Senbatsu members? Face features composing of so many AKB members? Well done by AKS, they have their great photoshop artist(s) to thank for.

    I’ve seen some damn amazing CG, and if this Eguchi person is fake, then like I said, that’s some damn good PS and CG. The problem being she looks amazingly real to be fake. CG and PS like that takes a good while to complete, especially in making it look real. That’s why I’m just gonna wait instead of trying to rack my brain trying to figure out if she’s real or not.

    This screenshots are obviously faked, why would parts of Ayaka’s face be used if she isn’t even in the commercial? Makes no sense… Aimi being fake or not.

    One easily can make such fake screenshots by locally inserting additionally text in the loaded web site with Safari’s WebInspector or Firefox’s Firebug. It’s a job of 1/2 minute — it’s no rocket science.

    I think they took a person and spruced up her image. Therefore, in a way, she IS real, just her image isn’t. Like… they CG’d her face an photoshopped it well.

You can also tell by the way she moves that shes a rigged CG character or is compositied over the other 6 girls in the commercial. Also for ppl going “well she looks so real” , you ever realize there is no pictures of her or video of her without a white background?… If she was real how come in none of the pictures they don’t have her interacting with anyone? Or outside

    exactly. I talked to Roger Rabbit yesterday and he spoke to me that he has met with Aimi several times already, always in the airport making a connection. he told that she is very sympathetic and elegant.
