Talento Hoshino Aki and horse jockey Miura Kosei have officially registered their marriage!

On September 21st, the couple announced their engagement, and said that they would be submitting their marriage registration papers in December. However, the two decided to surprise everyone by getting married just a few days after the announcement.

According to officials, Hoshino went with a friend to submit their marriage papers at the notary office on the 25th. Unfortunately, Miura was competing in a horse race at the Sapporo Race Course that day, and couldn't join his wife. The newlyweds' ceremony and reception is scheduled to be held sometime in December.

Miura posted an update on his official blog, talking warmly about his wife. He said, "I met Aki-san through work, and seriously dated her for two and a half years. After talking things through, we decided to spend our lives together."

He continued, "Even when I'm busy with work, she understands my job as a horse jockey. She is an important person who supports me." "From now on, I want to protect and support her as a man, and build a warm family together."

There were no comments from Hoshino herself.

Hoshino and Miura met on October 12th, 2008 at the Tokyo Racecourse, when Miura took the reins of 'Hashitte Hoshiino', a horse named after Hoshino. The two hit it off, and officially started dating in the spring of 2009.
