m.o.v.e to disband after releasing best-of album & free live
m.o.v.e has announced that they will disband after releasing a best-of album “Best moves.~and move goes on~” on February 27th, and holding a free live at Akasaka BLITZ on March 16th.
According to the announcement, after reaching the 15th anniversary since debut, they have had a lot of discussion about their next plans, and eventually concluded on disbandment. At first, their best-of album was scheduled to be released on December 19th with the title “Best moves.” to commemorate the 15th anniversary; however, with the decision of the disbandment, the album release has been postponed to February with the new title “Best moves.~and move goes on~.” The best-of album will encompass the full career of of m.o.v.e’s, as well as 5 new tracks. Their last live in March titled “m.o.v.e The Last Show 〜Champagne Fight〜” will be held for free for those who purchase the best-of album.
m.o.v.e made their debut in 1997, and they have released 31 singles and 11 original albums so far. They are best known for singing many of popular anime “Initial D”s theme songs.
