Winners announced for the 52nd Japan Record Awards

On December 30th, the 52nd Japan Record Awards were held at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, just as they have been since 2004.

Many top artists appeared at the ceremony to receive their awards, and many fans were anticipating the announcement of the winners for "Japan Record Award" and "Best New Artist".

EXILE wins the "Japan Record Award" with "I Wish For You"!  Congratulations to EXILE for winning the award for the third year in a row!

Winning this award in three consecutive years has only been accomplished once before, when Hamasaki Ayumi pulled it off from 2001 to 2003.

"Best New Artist"



S/mileage wins "Best New Artist"!  Congratulations to them for a successful debut in 2010!
