J-rock singer Cocco has just announced that she will be donating all the proceeds of her upcoming release,"Inspired movies", towards aid efforts for the victims of the Tohoku earthquake.
"Inspired movies" is an anthology of short films which feature Cocco as the lead actress; they were created to promote her most recent album,"EMERALD". The films are a collaboration between the singer and six different filmmakers, including UGICHIN, Tsukamoto Shin'ya, and Nishikawa Shuuji. All six films aired on TV and Ustream for a short time, but received such an explosive fan response that she decided to release the films on DVD.
No release date has been confirmed for "Inspired movies" yet, but it is truly touching to see Japan's celebrities give back to their country at such a critical time.
