Japan's most famous gravure idol Hoshino Aki (34) revealed on her blog that she is celebrating her 10th anniversary today. She wrote, "It was 10 years ago when I began as a gravure idol!! How time flies!"

Time sure flies, even for Hoshino who has been able to defy time and age for the past 10 years and counting.

She reminisced on when she debuted as an idol saying, "10 years ago my manager and I began working day and night. It was the golden age of gravure idols and I gradually started to receive more offers. The photo-shoots didn't just take place in Japan but in many other foreign locations ..."

The constant stream of new projects never once stopped for the past years and today there is basically nobody with a similar track record than Hoshino. Gratefully she added, "Today people still call me the eldest gravure idol."

Of course she doesn't think of retiring anytime soon and her glamorous body is still as good as it did 10 years ago. Hoshino actually revealed that she just had another photo-shoot on her 10th anniversary and also sent out a message to her fans. "Thanks to all of you! Even in my 11th year I will continue to work hard and hope that you will continue to support me as well."
