Five-member band noanowa seems to have garnered much attention in the disaster-stricken area of Tohoku with their cheerful song, "Have a Good Day!"

The band's newest song, which will be released as a single on May 11th, has dominated the charts on radio stations all across the Tohoku region for the month of May. The song has achieved "power play" status on FM Aomori, FM Akita, FM Iwate, Date fm (Miyagi), and FM Sendai. With the exception of FM Fukushima, "Have a Good Day!" has been overwhelmingly requested throughout the entire area since the devastating earthquake and tsunami approximately two months ago.

Much like its name might suggest, "Have a Good Day!" is a song with a refreshing cheerfulness that seems to be having the right effect on the disaster victims, a characteristic which is being cited for the song's huge number of requests. "There were many requests from earthquake victims that (seemed to be) searching for 'solace', but now that we're gradually recovering, the requests look for 'energy' or 'power'," said a representative from Date fm about the popularity of the song.

In addition to its popularity in Tohoku, "Have a Good Day!" has already been chosen as the CM song for Shinseido's skin-care line "Anessa" and the Kaiyuukan Aquarium. The PV and cover for the single feature popular actress Aoi Yu, whose freshness in the same CM for "Anessa" was the inspiration for the song's uplifting sound.
