Koike Rina is the new face of BANDAI's "Taiko no Tatsujin"
Young actress Koike Rina has been chosen as the new face of BANDAI's popular rhythm game, 'Taiko no Tatsujin'!
Koike and 'Taiko no Tatsujin' share one thing in common: both are celebrating their 10th anniversary since their debuts. "It's been my favorite game so I'm happy to be chosen. Also, its 10th anniversary is close to mine," she commented, sharing her connection with the game.
'Taiko no Tatsujin' is a simple yet fun game where players play taiko drums to the beats of their favorite songs. Koike will pump up the craze with a festive theme by sporting a happi coat (a Japanese festive coat) designed by Satoyama Takuto, who has designed outfits for the members of AKB48.
"I'm happy it's an outfit that you would see idols wear. If there's an event, I'd love to wear it to that," the actress said, showing her satisfaction with her outfit. She also exclaimed, "I can aim for a full combo (perfect score) in difficult mode."
Since Koike will be dressed as a festival girl in the commercial for "Taiko no Tatsujin", she also shared her own plans for the summer. "I want to go watch the Sumida River fireworks. I haven't been to a fireworks festival since elementary school," she replied energetically when asked what she would like to do this summer. "I'd also like to go to a festival as well."
Koike's commercial for 'Taiko no Tatsujin Portable DX' is scheduled to air on July 2nd.
