R&B singer AI was appointed as the image character for Maybelline's new "Volum' Express False Lash" mascara and attended a PR-Event in Tokyo today.

She revealed that she's an avid fan of the brand's mascaras and commented, "I'm very happy! Who would've thought that they would choose me!" She also explained why she loves makeup, "My eyes often become swollen, so I need to counter it with my eyelashes."

AI's good friend, model Hasegawa Jun, recently revealed that she is getting married, to which she responded with a smile, "She really did it! Happy Happy!" When asked about a possible marriage with her long-time boyfriend, she answered, "I guess you could say that it's time. Maybe we should get married, too."

The reporters also asked her about her secret on how she prevents their love from expiring, to which she bashfully revealed, "I just love him! And I kiss him all the time to let him know that!"
