On July 10, SPEED�s Imai Eriko (27) appeared at a commemorative event celebrating her picture book �Korogatte Goran� (published by�SHUFU-TO-SEIKATSUSHA) at the TAMAPLAZA TERRACE located in Kanagawa.
Since her oldest son Raimu has a hearing disability, as a mother, she wanted to write down her thoughts and ventured into writing the story �Ishikoro-kun.� As supplements to the book, there is a �Yomikikase DVD� that has both a sign language recording and a sound recording of the story and there is also a song that has not yet been released called, �Ishikoro Story.�
Imai appeared in front of 150 parents and children and greeted them.�Afterwards, she signed for the children while she read and announced the song. She showed a smiled as she said �After I became a mother, I thought about drawing a picture book for a while.� At last, my dream has come true.�
Imai also participated in an event for the picture book at the deaf school her son attends, during which she the read the sign language picture book and stated, �I also want the mothers at the deaf school to read this book.� When asked about her son�s current state, she gave a light smile and stated, �It appears that he likes about 5 people. Other girls shine brighter than me.�
