TV Asahi has just announced another new drama for the upcoming season, 'Seinaru Kaibutsu-tachi', starring young actor Okada Masaki in his first drama since "Otomen" (2009).

Okada is going to play the role of a young and inexperienced surgeon with a strong sense of duty and justice, who can't help but walking right into the traps of various women. The actresses portraying the women who toy with the pure surgeon include:�Nakatani Miki, Kato Ai, Suzuki Anne, and Omasa Aya.

He commented about the fabulous female cast, "I'm so excited! They have such a great individuality and I can't wait to have vivid conversations with all of them."

"Seinaru Kaibutsu-tachi" is a thrilling medical drama about a young doctor who, upon meeting various women, gets entangled into a scandalous world of jealousy and desire. �The story of is based on a mystery novel written by Kawahara Len, which was just published in May of this year.

It starts with a rainy night and the new surgeon, 'Shiba Kengo', suddenly having to perform an emergency childbirth, although that's outside of his area of expertise. �He manages to successfully complete the Cesarean and helps give birth to a baby boy. �However, the mother suddenly dies after the surgery, leaving him and the hospital with an unidentifiable newborn.

A mysterious man threatens him, and the nurses who were present during the surgery, not to disclose anything about the woman or the baby. �A few days later, Kengo suddenly gets asked by the director of the hospital to quit his job as a surgeon due to this incident. Who was this woman? Why did she really die? Who was the mysterious man? Whose child is the baby? Why is he being forced to quit his job?

The young surgeon is caught in the middle of doctors, nurses, teachers, and many more characters trying to protect their own interest, while smoothly piling up one lie after another. He will fall for their traps at first, but he won't lose his conscious and eventually manages to see behind their masks. �There, he will find the naked truth of society, a world all about money and desire. �The story will also tackle current societal problems, such as the shortage of doctors and the economic difficulties of hospitals.

Nakatani Miki will play the composed head nurse of the hospital. She's a person the protagonist thinks he can trust and she actually helps him a lot in his process of growing as a doctor. However, she's plotting a terrifying scheme for the sake of her younger sister. She commented with an ominous smile, "I'm looking forward to manipulate him at will from my position as the head nurse from now on".

The younger sister and wife of the manager of a huge academic group will be played by Kato Ai. The manager of the said group will be played by Hasegawa Hiroki. �Suzuki Anne will play a somewhat puzzling kindergarten teacher, while Omasa Aya will play another nurse and the girlfriend of the protagonist.

Also appearing in the drama are Katsumura Masanobu as another doctor, Hirata Mitsuru as the protagonist's father, Kohinata Fumiyo as the hospital's director, and Watanabe Ikkei as a peculiar in-patient.

TV Asahi is going to air "Seinaru Kaibutsu-tachi" every Thursday at 9:00 pm.
