On January 8th, it was announced that actress Koyuki (35), the wife of actor Matsuyama Kenichi (26), gave birth to their first son on the 5th. �Though they did not reveal the details about the baby, such as the time of birth, name of the baby, reportedly, both Koyuki and the baby are in good condition, and Matsuyama witnessed the birth.

Koyuki announced, "On January 5th, I gave birth to a boy safely. �Fortunately, both me and the baby are doing good. �From now on, I will try my best both on my work and childcare, so please continue to watch over us warmly." �Matsuyama also commented, "I'm very happy that we welcomed a new member to our family. �Please continue your favors towards us."

According to the agency, Koyuki will focus on the childcare for a while, and resume her carrer as an actress within the year.
