On February 29th, Ikimonogakari held a free event to commemorate the release of their new album, "NEWTRAL", at Roppongi Hills Arena.

This day also marked the '7th birthday' of vocalist Yoshioka Kiyoe (28), who was born on leap day in 1984. Despite the heavy snow, 3,000 fans gathered at the arena to celebrate her birthday. In unison, they all sang "Happy Birthday" while Yoshioka was presented with a giant cake about five meters tall!

Leader Mizuno Yoshiki (29) joked, "The 'ame-onna' (a woman whose presence causes rain) became the 'yuki-onna' (snow woman) on her 7th birthday." In reponse, Yoshioka stated, "This is the first cake I've had that's bigger than me. I'm very excited."

Yoshioka now shares the same birthday as Tokyo Sky Tree, which completed its construction on the 29th. She commented, "Awesome. Although, I'll never be able to beat it in height."
