The poster for the upcoming live-action movie, "Himitsu no Akko-chan", has finally been revealed!
"Himitsu no Akko-chan" is based on a popular manga by Akatsuka Fujio, which�was first serialized in the girls manga magazine, "Ribbon", back in 1962. It has already received several anime adaptations throughout the 50 years.
The first teaser features a two-shot of the film's main characters,�played by actress�Ayase Haruka and actor Okada Masaki. You can also see the silhouette of the manga character 'Akko-chan' in Ayase's shadow.
The story of "Himitsu no Akko-chan" revolves around an elementary school girl who is a crybaby with a strong sense of justice. After receiving a magical compact mirror, she is able to transform into whatever she wishes.
In this film, Akko-chan (Ayase) transforms into a 22-year-old college student in order to protect her first love (Okada), a salary man who works for a cosmetics company. Throughout the story, she chooses occupations that fit into the current situation, including a figure skater, a cabin attendant, an office lady, a police officer, and a racing motorcyclist.
"Himitsu no Akko-chan" will open in theaters nationwide on September 1st.
