AKB48 research student Mitsumune Kaoru to play lead role in new movie
It's been revealed that AKB48 13th generation research student Mitsumune Kaoru will be playing the lead role in the upcoming film, 'Shoujo Camera'.
Mitsumune won the grand prix in the 'Kobe Collection Model Audition' back in 2011. She just made her theater debut last December, and has already made her acting debut last month in the TBS drama series, 'ATARU'.
'Shoujo Camera' tells a story of 4 college students who each return to their hometown, and through photos, they realize the importance of family.
Mitsumune, who participated in the filming in Tokyo, Osaka, and Tokushima in mid-April, commented, "After I started living by myself, I first realized the importance and value of my parents. Through this movie, I hope that people will come to realize the importance of their family."
The movie's theme song, "Chiku Chiku Mushi", will be provided by former football player and singer Ishida Mihoko. In July, pictures taken by the cast will be displayed in a photo exhibition.
'Shoujo Camera' is scheduled to open in theaters this winter.
