On May 1st, Nishino Kana performed �Watashitachi,� the title song of the movie 'GIRL' in front of an audience of 600 female fans, who were chosen from a pool of 7,300, at ZEPP Nagoya for the �GIRL�S PARTY in NAGOYA� event.� The event was a female-only pre-screening for the film.

The screening was a glorious homecoming for the movie�s main star Nagoya-born actress Karina as well as for Nishino Kana, who attended university in Nagoya. An audience ranging from elementary school students to high school students and daughters sharing the moment with their mothers waited for the stars starting fron 8AM, and upon Nishino and Karina�s entrance, loud shouts of �Kawaii! (Cute!)� could be heard.

Nishino spoke about the movie�s title song �Watashitachi� and revealed that, �It is a song in which I sing about my friends and friendships during my university years in Nagoya. I am happy that I can sing the song for the first time in Nagoya!�� Upon hearing this, some fans teared up. The song has warm lyrics and a melody that feels like a soft pat on the back for women trying their best. Karina also appeared moved as she stated about the song, �Usually, when I go karaoke, I sing Kana�s song. I get lost in the song. I am happy to hear that it is the title song of one of my works.�

Karina expressed her joy in her return to Nagoya, �I am truly happy that I can campaign for a film in which I play the lead in Nagoya, and I am also happy that this film has come to Nagoya, but even more importantly, I am happy that I have been able to meet all of you.�� The film 'GIRL' displays the vitality of four women who deal with love, career, marriage, and child rearing issues one step at a time. Upon the start of the movie, it appeared that the audience as well as the vibrant Karina and Nishino discovered the energy to move towards the future.

Aso Kumiko, Kichise Michiko, Itaya Yuka, Kamiji Yusuke, Kaname Jun, Hayashi Kento, Haru, Kato Rosa, Mukai Osamu, Dan Rei also appear in the film.� The film is based on the short stories �In The Pool� and �Kuuchuu Buranko� by Okuda Hideo.

'GIRL' will open in theaters across Japan on May 26.
