Maeda Yuki,� a former enka soloist under Hello! Project, has just announced through her official Oricon blog that she is five months pregnant and also preparing to get married!

"It's been decided that this month, I'm going to get married to the person that I've been dating for a while with marriage in mind," she announced happily through her blog. "And, and! I've been blessed with a new life. I'm already in my fifth month."

The singer did not specify any information about her current fiancee. As expected, however, Maeda will be putting aside her musical activities to focus on having a healthy pregnancy. "Because [I'm pregnant], I will be suspending my activities as a singer. To be honest, I want me to sing too, but I'm going to take a little break now," she said to her fans.

Fans were happy for Maeda despite her hiatus, leaving comments such as, "Congrats for both! Be happy. And please let us hear you sing again someday," "Congrats Yukidon!", and "I was surprised at the sudden announcement, but really, congratulations to you."
