'Kaseifu no Mita' child actor Ayabe Shuto to star in Fuji TV daytime drama

Child actor Ayabe Shuto (13) has landed his first lead role in Fuji TV's upcoming daytime drama, 'Boku no Natsu Yasumi'.

Ayabe's popularity has been on the rise after starring in the hit drama, 'Kaseifu no Mita'. In the upcoming drama, he will play the role of a boy who times slips into the Pacific War with his younger sister.

For the first time in his life, Ayabe challenged a close-cropped hairstyle. He expressed, "When I heard about my first lead role, I was both happy and surprised. Following 'Kaseifu no Mita', I'm very happy to star in something that portrays the bond of family."

The role of Ayabe's younger sister will be played by Ninomiya Akari (10), who played the heroine of 'Carnation' when she was a child. Takaoka Saki (39) and Utsumi Midori (68) will be the supporting cast.

'Boku no Natsu Yasumi' will air every Monday to Friday from 1:30 pm starting on July 2nd.
