In the 35th issue of Kondansha's "Young Magazine", it was announced that the new anime for Shigeno Shuuichi's manga "Initial D" was in production.

The opening pages were that of "Initial D" with the title "New series to get anime adaptation!! Details in the next issue". �The next issue will be issues 36 and 37 combined and will be on sale on August 6th.

"Initial D" is a popular manga that started in 1995 and then was adapted to a TV anime, OVAs, and movies. It's about a young boy named Fujiwara Takumi, who has great technique when it comes to driving, hence the name "Initial D".
