On June 5th, singer and model Kyary Pamyu Pamyu attended the release event for Panasonic's new earphones geared towards a female audience, "Sakioto".

At the event, Kyary answered questions from the press and showed her determination to make it onto the guest list for the prestigious year-end event, Kouhaku Uta Gassen. "I'd love to appear in a cute outfit so big you would think it wasn't from this world," she declared. When asked if her rival would be Kobayashi Sachiko, referring to the singer's gigantic stage props at Kouhaku, she replied with a smile, "Oh~! I guess so. I will not make any plans for the end of the year [so I can attend Kouhaku Uta Gassen]!"

The earphones will be offered in twelve different colors. In the advertisements for Panasonic's latest product, the adorable singer is a butterfly with 'wings' made of bright colors. Kyary posed for the press in a beautiful white dress at the event.

Since Tanabata is just two days away, Kyary also revealed her wish for this year: "To flap my wings to the world." She explained to the crowd, "I'd love to perform live overseas, things like that. Up until now, I've performed in Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and since it was so fun, I'd love to keep spreading more of Japan's 'cuteness' to the rest of the world."
