The ladies of AKB48 have just released their new album "1830m", and according to Oricon, it sold 625,401 copies in the first day! This number has already exceeded the first week sales of their previous album "Koko ni Ita Koto" (released on June 8th 2011) which sold 602,000 copies.
As reported previously, the title of this album "1830m" represents the distance between AKB48 Theater in Akiharara and Tokyo Dome, and this is the last album for Maeda Atsuko as she will be graduating from the group on August 27th.
This album contains the serial number that is for the fans to vote for theirfavoriteAKB48songs which has no music video, and the song that gets No.1 will be made into a music video.
