On August 13th, 4 members of Namba, Osaka-based idol group NMB48 appeared as police chiefs of the Minato, Osaka police station for a crime prevention class at a hotel in Minato, Osaka.

The Osaka police department organized the class in conjunction with the Crime Prevention Association. �The girls were awarded with sashes from the chief �at the Minato Police Station, and said,��We are glad to be able to become the police chief, which we had longed for."

The four appeared at the assembly hall for the summer festival and explained counter-measures to kidnapping and molestation.� They smiled as they stated, �Please get into the habit of being aware of your surroundings.�
