On September 27, the award ceremony for SKY PerfecTV!'s 'Sky Perfect! Award 2012' was held at the TOKYO DOME CITY HALL. The event was hosted by the young actress Gouriki Ayame.

It was the first time Gouriki took on the position of host, but she did a great job according to her co-host Ogura Tomoaki. She also looked absolutely stunning in the pink mini dress she was wearing at the event.

Gouriki expressed, "Since it was my first time, I was very nervous, but everyone on the show gave me encouragement. However, there are still plenty of things I have to do better next time." Ogura replied, "No, you really did your best. It was your first time, yet you already did so great. I'd give you 90 points. You're a pretty and sweet girl."

The 'Sky Perfect! Award' acknowledges the most popular shows on the SKY PerfecTV! digital satellite broadcast service in a total of 10 genres including: news, movie, anime/tokusatsu, music, foreign drama/variety, Korean/Chinese pop culture, hobby/utility, domestic drama/variety, sports/public contests, and documentary. It's already the fifth time Sky Perfect! is giving out the award, and as usual, the winners were decided by online voting. There were a total of 77 shows up for voting this time around.

The list of award presenters included the 'London 2012' gold medalists Murata Ryota (boxer) and Yonemitsu Tatsuhiro (wrestler) as well as the now retired badminton player Shiota Reiko. Morever, idol group Nogizaka46 brightened up the ceremony with a special live performance.
