This will mark the first NHK morning drama for Yoshitaka to star in.
She enthusiastically commented, "At first I wondered if I would be good enough, like if I would be suitable for the face of morning...but I would like to face the role hungrily although I will be suffering and struggling. I will try my hardest so I don't hear that it was a mistake to cast me."
"Hanako to Anne" depicts half of Muraoka Hanako's life who is known as the translator of Lucy Maud Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables". The drama gets ideas from "Anne no Yurikago Mukaraoka Hanako no Shogai", which was written by Muraoka's granddaughter, and Nakazono Miho ("Yamato Nadeshiko", "Doctor X ~Gekai Daimon Michiko~") is in charge of the scenario.
Yoshitaka said, "I'm very excited, and looking forward to playing the role. I think it will a worthwhile job." She also revealed that her grandmother is a fan of morning dramas, saying, "I believe I could practice filial piety with it."
NHK's morning drama "Hanako to Anne" will be aired during March 31st to September 27th of 2014 with 156 episodes in total.
