It's been revealed that Mr.Children will be singing the theme song for Gekidan Hitori's first directed movie 'Seiten no Hekireki' (May 24th release).

Starring Oizumi Yo and Shibasaki Kou, 'Seiten no Hekireki' is a film-adaptation of Gekidan Hitori's own novel. The script is written by Hashibe Atsuko, who is known for her works in dramas such as 'Boku no Ikiru Michi' and 'Freeter, Ie wo Kau.'. 

Mr.Children accepted the request by Gekidan Hitori and wrote a new song titled "Hanatareru" just for the movie. Regarding the song, Sakurai Kazutoshi (Vo, G) commented, "I hope that it will become the ideal BGM that will be with people as they face important stages in life where their heart, that is in a dark and gloomy place, is brought back to a free and cheerful place."
