It's been revealed that SEKAI NO OWARI will be providing their song "Mermaid Rhapsody" as the theme song for the movie 'Kuragehime' that's scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on December 27.�
'Kuragehime' is based on a manga series by Higashimura Akiko. It will star Nounen Rena, Suda Masaki, Ohta Rina, Babazono Azusa, and Shinohara Tomoe.�
SEKAI NO OWARI visited the movie's set upon receiving the offer to sing its theme song. There, they were inspired to create the song "Mermaid Rhapsody". Nounen Rena, who plays the lead in the movie, commented on the song, "It's a cute song. The fact that it's a mermaid song will give you the impression that it's a different story than the one from 'Kuragehime'. It�seems that another story will be born."
