During 'AKB48 Request Hour Set List Best 1035 2015', it was announced that SKE48 and NMB48 will simultaneously release a new single on March 31. 

In the past, Sashihara Rino's solo debut single and official rival group Nogizaka46's 2nd single were released simultaneously. This will be the first time for sister groups to go head to head with each other. 

During the event, a VTR of a conference between the two groups was shown. SKE48's theater manager Imamura Etsuro brought the conference to a conclusion saying, "I want to release it during this term (March)," to which NMB48 theater manager Kaneko Takeshi responded, "Let's try it, to liven up the entire group." Imamura and Kaneko shook hands and settled on the release date. With the theme "battles without honor and humanity", SKE48 will release their 17th single and NMB48 their 11th single on March 31.

Members of both groups couldn't hide their surprise when the announcement was made. SKE48's Suda Akari broke the ice, "Is a battle without honor and humanity going to start?" When Yamada Nana pointed out, "In a sense, this will settle one of the battles," Takayanagi Akane worriedly said, "There is one thing I want to say, that is I hope that the fans of SKE48 and NMB48 don't get into a fight." 

After the concert, manager Imamura wrote on his Google+ account, "When considering the fans' various thoughts and the members' mentality, we wanted to avoid this simultaneous release. However, the record companies of both teams wanted to release a new single during March, among other reasons. Although it was a tough decision, we decided on SKE and NMB's simultaneous release." 

Members Watanabe Miyuki, Yamada Nana, and Takayanagi Akane currently belong to both SKE48 and NMB48. Some fans have voiced their concerns regarding this matter saying that the members should cancel their concurrent post for the time being. The title and senbatsu members of the new singles will be announced at a later date.
