SuG's Takeru to temporary stop his activities due to the surgery to remove his tonsils

On February 4, rock band SuG announced on their official site that vocalist Takeru would go on hiatus for a while due to tonsil surgery.

Takeru has been doing his musical activities while visiting a hospital regularly because of a continuous asthmatic response, sore throat, and high fever since last year. Recently, he was diagnosed with chronic tonsillitis, and in order for him to continue his activities, he needed to remove his tonsils. It will take about a month for him to recover after the treatment and rehabilitation.

SuG is scheduled to hold an event "SuG Kanshasai Reco-hatsu Kinen Live 3-gatsu 9-ka wa 'SuG no Hi'" at LIQUIDROOM on March 9. The event will be held as planned, but they will "wait and see under the doctor's instruction" regarding the live performance and Takeru's singing at the event.

In addition, SuG's new album "BLACK" is set for release on March 4.
