EXILE members NAOTO and NAOKI have a new dance and vocal unit, "Sandaime J Soul Brothers," on the horizon and they have just announced the official member line up.
J Soul Brothers was technically the predecessor to EXILE, as the original generation group was formed back in 1999 by the EXILE leader, Hiro. They were revived briefly back in 2007 with members NAOKI, KEIJI, SHOKICHI, NESMITH, TETSUYA, NAOTO, and KENCHI, showing a full membership change. However, since March 2009 the group has been silent with no activities.
This will then be the third generation of the J Soul Brothers and it is being headed up by EXILE's NAOTO and NAOKI. It will also feature Takanori Iwata, EXILE's theater tour dancers ELLY and Kenjiro Yamashita, and the vocalists chosen by audition, Hiroomi Tosaka and Ryuji Imaichi. This third generation group will also have seven members, same as the last generation.
Sandaime J Soul Brothers made their first appearance at the September 27th EXILE stadium event, "FANTASY Kouyasai ~EXILE Tamashii~," much to the delight of fans. They announced that they will be putting out their debut single on October 11th titled "Best Friend's Girl." Plans are also in motion for them to have a quick follow-up second single in December.
