Sanrio has announced that Kuromi will star in her first movie, scheduled for theatrical release in 2027.

The announcement was made on October 31 to coincide with Kuromi's birthday. First introduced in 2005, Kuromi is known for her mischievous personality, as well as her romantic and sensitive side.

Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and video were released. The video features Kuromi and her sidekick Baku celebrating the news of her upcoming movie.

Kuromi also shared a message thanking her fans, known as KUROMIES, for their continued support and encouraging them to look forward to her big-screen debut.

Further details about the film, including its story and release date, have yet to be announced.
