The 9th Generation Members for Japanese girl group Morning Musume were apparently revealed at the January 2nd Hello! Project Concert. Three members from the 9th Generation Auditions, Suzuki Kanon, Ikuta Erina, and Sayashi Riho were chosen. In addition, one member of the Hello! Project Eggs, Fukumura Mizuki, was also selected. With this, Morning Musume would increase its numbers back to nine members for the first time since 2009.

Morning Musume is well known for its ever-changing lineup through graduations and auditions. The 9th Generation Auditions were announced August 8th, 2010 along with the graduation announcement for 6th Generation member Kamei Eri and 8th Generation members Jun Jun and Lin Lin, who had their graduation ceremony at Yokohama Arena on December 15th.
