The newest installment in the highly popular video game franchise, "Yakuza" - "Yakuza: Of The End" (aka "Ryu ga Gotoku: Of the End"), was released on Thursday (June 9th) and actress Kuriyama Chiaki talked about her role in the first video game she ever lent her voice to.

The first story trailer earlier this year already revealed the addition of Kuriyama's identical visual replica to the already star-studded cast "Of The End". Her role in the game is that of a non-commissioned officer of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, trying to fight back the sudden invasion of the zombies next to the main characters.

Kuriyama is said to be a huge fan of the franchise herself. She commented, "I was so happy when I was chosen for the role. However, the fact that I knew so much (about the franchise) just increased the pressure on me even further."

In the past she already dubbed a couple of anime, but it was her first time to lend her voice to a video game. "Dubbing a game felt different," she explained. "The dubbing was done alone, but in the final game I saw my character interacting with the other characters and everything felt so natural. I was really impressed."

Other people that lent their voice to the new "Yakuza" game were Matoba Koji, Sugimoto Tetta, Tokushige Satoshi, Ishibashi Renji, and Peter (Ikehata Shinnosuke).
