On June 26th, model Sato Kayo held an event to promote her first photo essay, "Re-born".

As many of you know by now, Sato Kayo was born a male and was diagnosed with gender identity disorder. She gained much attention after revealing her true self on TV almost a year ago.

Sato stated, "My mom cried, saying she was touched," and, "I'm glad I went semi-nude." She shared that her most difficult experience was when she didn't want to wear her school uniform as a junior high school student. "This time, I wore a school uniform because I wanted to," Sato said as she opened up the page with a smile. "I'm not a male or a female. I want people to look at me as Sato Kayo."

Sato, who is currently single, claimed, "I want to meet someone in fate who will accept me for who I am." She also revealed that her type is someone who will laugh with her.
